Growing up in New York and Chicago, pizza has always been a huge part of our lives! Friday nights have always been family pizza nights and we're excited to introduce our favorite pizzas to North Texas. As Southlake residents and proud parents of three Dragons, we wanted a way to bring great food and friends together. From volunteering with the Southlake Police & Fire Departments, to coordinating meals for our police officers, chairing local boards and organizing local festivals, we love being involved with so many amazing people and organizations in our community. And now we have another way to create even stronger community.
We named our company 1956 Pizza in honor of the year our city of Southlake was incorporated. We love our community and want our name and business to reflect all that makes Southlake special.
Every one of our pizzas are made from scratch. We use a sourdough starter and each batch of dough goes through a 24–72-hour cold rise process. Every pizza is then hand-tossed on the truck and topped with our fresh sauce & ingredients. Because we're committed to making high quality pizzas using the best ingredients, our sauce is made from whole tomatoes and fresh herbs, our cheese is sourced from the best of Wisconsin dairy farmers, and our fresh vegetables are chopped by hand. If you haven't already, we're excited to have you try our delicious creations!
