Growing up in New York & Chicago, pizza has always been a huge part of our lives. Friday nights have always been pizza nights, and we’ve enjoyed making it from scratch. And now we’re excited to bring our pizza to you!
As Southlake residents and proud Dragon parents, we are deeply involved in our community. I (Kristine) volunteer with the Southlake Police & Fire Departments, and started the Adopt-a-Shift program which coordinates local families providing meals to our Southlake police officers. I've had the privilege to help organize several city-wide festivals, was nominated for the 2020 Citizen of the Year and the 2021 Volunteer of the Year, and was recently named Chair of the Alliance for Community Engagement Board in Southlake.
We named our company 1956 Pizza in honor of the year our city of Southlake was incorporated. We love our community and want our name and business to reflect all that makes Southlake special.
All of our pizzas are made fresh from scratch for every event. Our dough recipe was developed using a sourdough starter and we allow each batch to proof for 24-48 hours. This process is worth it to us. We know that great pizza starts with great crust! Our sauce is also made from scratch for each event using the best tomatoes, herbs and fresh basil. We're confident you'll love our pizza as much as we do!
